Every semester over a thousand students are accepted by the university of Bahrain. All these years the registration procedures have been carried out through computerized systems, in a way that the students are required to be at the registration counter in order to complete their formalities. Students probably spend untold hours sifting through brochures, printed catalogs, and schedule books choosing their courses and preparing their schedules. Once they finalize their courses, they later have to wait for the date when they are asked to come and register their courses. Several thousand students need to be registered at the same time, which creates chaos. This involves taking staff away from other duties or employing extra staff to input data to the system. This is not only time consuming but also prone to mistakes, due to input errors, illegible handwriting and lack of information.
This will lead to a number of problems such as incurs high costs, as the registration
process is very labor intensive. Time consuming for both students and staff also the queuing of students for the registration
With the development of the on-line registration system the students will gain the following:
